The TR5 was Triumphs transition from the venerable 4 cylinder wet liner unit to the super smooth and very tuneable 2. 5litre 6 Cylinder unit that was to power many Triumph models into the 1970’s and on.
The fuel injection provided by Lucas was also a new addition to the Michelotti styled TR. very few TR5 cars were made as a transition into the TR6.
