EXTERIOR
This low mileage example presents in very nice order, the paintwork benefits from a recent detail and has a smooth consistent finish and is almost completely blemish-free other than a couple of tiny stone chips on the lower front valance and a small mark next to the passenger wing mirror. All of the plastic trims look nice and fresh with no damage or scuffs, the door seals which often perish are also in very good condition as is the scuttle panel and plastic trims around the sunroof. All of the lights are free from cracks or moisture ingress, the front screen is also free from stone chips, and the rear glass still retains the original Peugeot dealer sticker.
INTERIOR
The interior also presents very nicely, the seats are in good condition with only some light wear/ cracking to the drivers bolster and a little wrinkling in the fabric on the seat base. The dashboard, centre console and door cards are all excellent with no damage or cracks and the leather on the steering wheel still has its textured finish; the gear also knob shows minimal wear other than a small crack on the top. The carpet still retains a vivid red with no signs of fading and have clearly been protected with overmats as there is no wear in the drivers footwell. The boot area and parcel shelf are also in excellent condition with only a couple of tiny scratches on the backs of the rear seats.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Looking under the hood there is a nicely presented original engine bay with no signs of corrosion. The under-bonnet sound deadening is in immaculate condition and the car has just benefited from a full inspection including a cambelt service. Other work was also carried out to the cooling system, a new clutch was fitted, and the rear main oil seal was replaced.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
All of the alloys are in excellent condition benefiting from a recent refurbishment and are all shod in a brand-new set of Michelin tyres. The car has just had a full mechanical inspection and the brakes have been given a clean bill of health; it was noted that the discs and pads have recently been replaced. Looking inside the wheel arches they are all very clean and under the car the correct spare alloy is present.
HISTORY FILE
This example was originally supplied by 'Lion Motors' in Hong Kong to a Mr Dan McGanty; he kept the car for 3 years before selling to Mr Jonathan Fox who used the car to commute 3-4 miles each day in central Hong Kong. Jonathan then brought the car back to the UK in 1998 where he used it as a run-around in London and Suffolk.
The History File contains some MOTs dating back to 2005 verifying the mileage although there have been a few typing errors where the MOT stations have recorded in KM's or converted to miles. The original owner's manual is still present along with the spare key, some recent invoices for parts, and an invoice for over £2k covering the recent cambelt service, new radiator, crankshaft oil seal repair, new clutch, and lubrication service all done in November 2021.
