Description
Morgan is the only carmaker in the world that has been building its sports cars almost unchanged since 1938. However, with the change of ownership in 2019, the focus has shifted from wooden construction to all-aluminium construction.
From 1938 to 1968, the zippy sports car was produced as a DHC before the 4/ 4 variant with 4-cylinder engines, which is still in production today, was built.
In December 1970 this Morgan 4/ 4 Competition was delivered for the first time with Swiss type certificate No. 053201M, where it remained in the same ownership for 17 years. In February 1988, the Morgan was restored for the first time by its second owner, who had it restored again in 2017 and had the mechanics completely overhauled.
In the spring of 2021 Goodtimer was able to take delivery of this very fast Morgan 4/ 4 with Kent Crossflow engine (from Formula Sport) and have it refitted. Completed in December 2021, the freshly inspected sports car is now in its glory and is looking forward to a sporty pilot who will enjoy the countryside with it, go to classic car meetings or take part in rallies with this much-loved classic.
