Description
One of only 150 (no. 47) special edition Suzuki GSXR 1000 created to commemorate the centenary year of the TT races. They were released in 2007, sanctioned by the Isle of Man government, and the bike comes with a certificate of authenticity which is signed by the Isle of Man transport minister and the head of Suzuki GB. The bike is especially relevant to the period as Bruce Anstey won the Superstock race at the TT that year on board a GSXR 1000 for the Relentless/ TAS Suzuki team.
The bike is in fantastic condition as befits its low mileage and is kept in an insulated garage under a soft dust cover, so the paintwork is lustrous. The bike features the Yoshimura GP2 exhausts that came as part of the package, cost around £1, 700 at the time and are virtually impossible to find now. These still have the original removable baffles with them. Whilst the bike came with a rear seat cowl as standard, there is also a rear seat and footpegs with the sale should you wish to take a pillion. All of the original books, suspension setting recommendations (from the TAS Suzuki team), receipts and the spare key are present.
This is a beautiful bike to ride. It can potter about through town just as well as it can fling you towards the horizon out of town. The balance, handling and braking are excellent. This era of GSXR 1000 arguably came with the most rideable engine, with lots of torque available across a broader rev range.
