In very nice order throughout. Will come with MOT to September 2022. Lots of history and invoices. Last MOT was in September 2021 where there was one advisory due to a slightly worse for worn tyre which has since been replaced.
The red bodywork is very presentable indeed. There are age related marks, worst being a chip in the windscreen which is out of the line of sight so no issues for MOT and general age relates marks. The paintwork has polished up tremendously. In my ownership the car was kept under a cover during periods of bad weather.
The car has been lowered on 40mm H&R springs and now sits perfectly, the original springs come with the car.
The engine runs beautifully and the gearbox is smooth as silk. Has full service history up to 80 thousand miles most recently with a private German car specialist.
Interior remains dry throughout the year and has no rips or tears the cream interior is immaculate for its age. Lovely condition, colour and pattern. Still obtaining its original carpets which are still soft. The car still has its rear headrests which is a rare option. The door cards are still in great condition which is very uncommon to find nowadays.
The boot remains dry and does not leak.
All instruments work as they should. Everything electrical from lights to the rear heated screen and sunroof. The car still retains all its original Blaupunkt speakers as well as the head unit which was updated to a JVC face off unit, the original comes with the sale. The car has 4 electric windows that are all fully functional.
Sunroof does not leak and is fully functional.
Starts well from cold, no smoke or untoward noises. The car has recently benefited from a full service as well as new handbrake shoes and a full handbrake adjustment. The automatic gear selector knob has come loose and needs tightening however it’s a straightforward job.
These cars are on the cusp of sky rocketing in price. Whilst still being in the useable daily category. This car could go either way, it is good enough to be moth balled and wait for prices to adjust accordingly or it can easily be thrust into a daily classic that is bound to turn heads and stand you aside from the crowd.
