Descripción
For sale, very early LHD 240Z due to changing plans. The car needs work, and I would state it is a project, but surely a rare car because of the fact it is so early (roughly chassis number 2500, exact number I can pass on to interested parties.)
Body:
The car has not to many rust spots, but the sills and floors will need attention. I do supply new floors and sills (value of 1. 000,-), but might not be needed to change completely. I see no evidence of an accident, apart from a spot at the right rear that probably has had work. A respray would be needed.
Interior:
The interior is in okish shape. I've bought seperately the first series seats. The dash is not torn, but has been replaced by a later 240z dash. First series dashes are readily available. I would say with new seat covers, carpet and door panels, the interior comes a long way.
Engine and transmission
The car has a matching numbers engine that has been rebuild in the past (no invoices) and runs very strong. It is equiped with tripple Webers and a performance exhaust. The original E31 head has been replaced by a N42 head, but again, this can be changed back easily. Gearbox is a five speed. It needs a tune up however and hadn’t run in 8 months. It turns over but does not fire. A video of it running prior to parking it can be sent.
The car has aircon, but that has been removed. Comes with the car.
Brakes and suspension
I have not driven the car myself, so do not know what the condiiton is of the suspension and brakes, but it does brake.
I would say the car is a very nice project with great potential once finished (prices of series one cars are climbing steadily). you can go either way, return to stock or build a restomod out of it (which was my plan). The car is in storage currently, but will be able to take it out for real interested parties. A transfer file with more pictures can be sent
