We are privileged to have been given the opportunity to market a truly unique and very special motor car. One owner for almost 30 years, and recently in a private collection, this Porsche 964 Targa Carrera 4 with manual transmission has covered just 3400 miles from new. This unique 911 has carefully been maintained by supplying dealer JCT 600 of Leeds.
Cars like this do not come onto the market often and this represents the ultimate in collector's car quality - a totally original specimen that has never required paintwork or any other major work and is surely one of the very lowest mileage examples left in the world.
This Porsche has spent most of its life in a heated garage under a dust sheet. It has had very occasional use and formed part of a stunning small collection of classic cars. The long term owner become very attached to the car over 30 years and was fastidious about its use and maintenance, never letting it out in the wet or on salty roads. This is as close to factory original condition as we have ever seen, the car is an absolute time warp. It has been incredibly well cared for and stored over its entire life. Just 3400 miles covered over 30 years is astonishingly low. During some years it has had no use at all, but maintenance has been regular enough to ensure the car remains in pristine condition and it does come with an impressive supplying main dealer service history.
In November 1991 the Porsche was supplied new by Porsche JCT 600 in Leeds and invoices are on file from them covering all periodic maintenance and service work. On the 20th August 1993 at 527 miles JCT 600 carried out the car's first service. We have on record further services at 739, 1077, 1109, 2908, 2963, 2995 and 3022 miles. MOT certificates are on file at 739, 1034, 1076, 1112, 2908, 2937, 2967, 2995, 3032, 3059, 3091, 3148, 3237 and 3245 miles. The most significant mileage covered in one year was between 1999 and 2000 when it jumped from 1112 to 2908 miles, both MOT tests being carried out at JCT 600 whilst with them being serviced. The 911 has been in dry storage hibernation since 2016 and will be freshly serviced and MOT tested for its next owner. It would seem fitting to have the car serviced again by the supplying dealership in Leeds - something we can organise for the new owner.
J498 TRX is in outstanding condition with factory condition bodywork and paintwork, a beautiful original upholstery, stunning engine bay and boot compartment, absolutely zero evidence of corrosion, perfect original factory alloy wheels and of course, the car looks like it has only covered 3400 miles. Mechanically it is truly first class and has never required any major work, or been left to deteriorate in any way.
