Beautiful 280 C automatic with new MOT. Newly delivered in the Netherlands and in the possession of the last owner for more than 10 years. In 2015, the coupe was professionally repainted in its original color "Sonderlackierung Blau 903" and that was excellently done. The paint still looks beautiful with a deep shine. There is also a new green tinted windscreen mounted including a green sunvisor, new window rubbers and stainless steel frames. After that, a Dinitrol treatment was carried out to protect the car, because the last owner wants to protect his darling very well. The invoices for this work are present. The distinctive MB hubcaps, the chrome and the roof moldings, it is all in a nicely cared for condition. This C is absolutely pampered and treated with great care.
The interior is completely original, the seats have been refilled in the past and the original upholstery is pretty neat considering the age. The dashboard is also original and beautiful, there are a few points that deserve attention, such as a dry crack and on top of the dashboard. The headliner is nice and tightly stretched, but the 2 ceiling lights are missing. The indestructible M 110 6 cylinder has just been adjusted-tuned and equipped with new ignition. The engine runs very smooth and starts on the button both cold and hot. The automatic transmission shifts as it should, and the 280 C drives wonderfully comfortably. There are various spare parts, such as 2 extra steeringwheels, handles, oil, etc. This W114 is a facelift version from the 1. 5 series, so as standard already headrests, roll belts and a large exterior mirror that is adjustable from the inside.
The progressive "schmutzabweisblenden" on the A pillars were already present, but no ribbed rear lights yet. Mercedes was notorious for its list of expensive factory options and even for metallic paint they charged a hefty extra price. In addition to the special color, the 1st owner has ordered a few nice options: power steering and automatic transmission. As you know, the W114/ 115 was built for eternity, from the time when Mercedes built better cars than the competition. The unstoppable drive for quality and the very best craftsmanship then ensured the proverbial German solidity. The doors still close like a safe and now you understand that these cars new were not cheap. The power steering works flawlessly and thanks to the lack of the B pillar and the hardtop character, the coupe has a high open air feel.
