My 1973 Yamaha CT3 is for sale (I need to thin the collection).
UK registered with V5 in my name.
3978 believed to be original miles (engine is on original bore).
I have restored a number of 70’s Yamahas, but this one is in very good original condition and I think it would be a shame to lose that (they’re only original once).
Tank is very clean inside.
I have rebuilt the engine, including crank rebuild carried out by PJ Motorcycle Engineers LTD, new con-rod, big end, small end and all seals and bearings.
Cylinder is on original bore and piston, which has been deglazed.
Cylinder and head vapour blasted.
Carburettor vapour blasted and rebuilt.
New tyres, tubes, brake shoes, wheel bearings and clutch.
New chain and sprockets.
New battery.
Chrome is in very good condition and forks are rust free.
Starts, runs and rides exactly how it should, pulls better than my other two 175s.
I have photos of all the work carried out which I will put on a memory stick for the next owner.
If you’re looking for a great original bike then this is it, MOT and Tax exempt, just insure and go.
Sad to let it go, but with four other Yamahas I’m running out of space.
