for sale is my ultra rare individual bmw e60 finished in an unusual colour of sepia violet metallic. You are never likely to see another one of these for sale, in this colour combination. Everyone stops and stares at the car. Even the most committed bmw enthusiasts find it hard to name the colour. It can look grey, green, blue, violet and purple, depending on what light you view it in. It never fails to put a smile on your face.
i purchased this car for my weekly commute up and down to manchester. I wanted something fast, comfortable, reliable and fuel efficient - and this fits the bill perfectly. I didn't want the usual titan silver or carbon black, so it was nice surprise when this came up for sale. I have since been advised that my role is going to be fully remote, hence why this is now surplus to requirements.

mechanically sound and runs well. Starts first time. Idles in the correct manner. No leaks. No overheating. No untoward sounds.
gearbox changes smoothly and goes through all the ratios fine. Would benefit from a gearbox service as preventative maintenance, but all works ok. Sport and manual modes engage as they should.
suspension gives the taught and sporty e60 m sport ride. The car feels planted and handles like it is on rails. There are no knocks or bangs from the chassis.
generally a very smooth and comfortable car to drive. Fun to drive on the back road and relaxing to drive on the motorway.
brakes are fine and stop the car as they should with no shuddering or grinding.
excellent tyres all round, rears are recent.
new wiper blades.
full bmw main dealer service history until 2018, independent garage and mechanic thereafter. Last serviced 8k miles ago.
in good condition for the age. Marks, blemishes and stone chips as to be expected. No rust or rot. Small lacquer peel patch on bonnet. Front spoiler has some damage / bowing at the bottom (common issue as they sit quite low and catch the kerb).
the sepia violet paintwork has a good, deep shine to it still and polishes up very well. The colour really pops, especially when the sun hits it (see photos).
interior is in decent order, with no rips or tears. Even the driver's seat bolster doesn't have too much heavy wear. The seats are still supportive and comfortable. The cabin is solid and in one piece, with no annoying rattles or creaks. The seats would most definitely benefit from a leather feed and the rear seat bench would benefit from some feed and dye. Still looks very special and inviting. Front cupholders are stuck.
everything works as it should. The parking sensors can be intermittent and the car only unlocks with the fob, it has to be locked with the key (needs to be re-synched). wipers, windscreen washers, horn, lights, windows, heated seats, cruise control, adaptive lights, etc. All operate correctly.
not new or perfect, but it's not £10k+ either. If you want a brand new car, then head over to your local bmw main dealer who will happily sell you an equivalent of this car for over £50k. For the money, this is a lot of car and a great all-rounder.
no silly offers - if you only have £4000 to spend, then please go and find another one with a more basic spec and in the usual array of colours they tend to come in.
