Overall the car is in stunning condition for its age, with minimal age related marks. The most noticeable being a light scuff on the rear bumper, which I’ve mostly polished out. These cars suffer from rust but this one is pretty good, with only the leading edges of the sill covers, and 2 spots on the lower corner of the drivers door. Both would respond well to some treatment I expect. There is a very small chip in the windscreen, but obviously not an MOT failure.
Mechanically the car pulls well, with the only modification being a Forge Dump Valve. This replaces the factory plastic one, which Is a known weakness of these engines. There have been no remaps on the car at all. The previous owner took it to MRC Tuning for a health check on their dyno when he got it (2016) and it was healthy then, and I have no reason to believe its any worse now. The Cambelt was last changed at 112, 922 miles (02/ 11/ 17), and the clutch still has plenty of life in it having been changed at 107, 983 miles. More recently, I replaced all the springs with H&R one, they are 25mm lowering springs but because this is a facelift (Therefore, 20mm lower from factory), its only 5mm lower. While I was there, I fitted new OEM Spec Bilstein B4 dampers, top mounts, and bearings. The rear shocks are also Bilstein B4 and were replaced 8, 000 miles ago. I’ve also fitted new rear drop links
Inside, the Ivory interior contrasts the exterior very well. Everything works as expected, with the instrument cluster being repaired back in 2016. This is a common fault on TT’s, with both pixelation on the screens and dials going haywire, so it’s a very good thing this has been sorted. The car only came with one key, so I had a second remote flip key made. The drivers side has some wear consummate of the cars age/ mileage, but overall its very tidy inside. The Factory radio is present, with a Bluetooth interface so it operates as it would in a modern car. The only issues inside are that there’s a piece of trim rattling from the boot area, its only noticeable at slow speeds and I’ve mostly ignored it!
To Summarise, this is the opportunity to own a very rare Audi TT, in what I believe to be one of Audis all time greatest colours. It’s also been very well cared for throughout its life, so wears the mileage (only around 6, 900 a year!) extremely well.
