EXTERIOR
This rare BMW M535i is in very nice original condition; the paintwork has a deep lustful shine and looks very presentable. On closer inspection there is a little corrosion starting around the edge of the windscreen, at the top of the driver’s door, and on the edge of the sunroof but none of this has broken through the paint. All of the lights are free from cracks or moisture ingress, all of the black plastic trims along the side of the car and around the windows are in excellent condition, as is the black rubber on the rear boot spoiler. With a little light cosmetic work it could be excellent.
INTERIOR
The previous owner had the seats and door cards re-trimmed to a very good standard and they show no signs of wear. Commonly on these cars the dashboards tend to crack from sun exposure but this one is in perfect condition. All of the carpets are in excellent condition and the original BMW over mats are still present, the only non-original item being an aftermarket head unit. Everything appears to work as it should including the sunroof and trip computer. The boot area is clean and tidy with all the tools present along with the jack and spare wheel.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The car fires into life on the first turn of the key and the engine pulls well. It’s a joy to drive with the manual gearbox.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
All the alloys are in good condition with only some very light curbs marks to the outer edge of the rims. They are shod in a matching set of TRX tyres which have plenty of tread but are perishing on the side walls.
HISTORY FILE
The current owner has had the car for four years and in this time he’s carried out the maintenance himself. The service book has been misplaced over the years but the car still has its original owners manual, document pack, and some old MOT certificates dating back to the early 90s. The mileage shows as 146, 000 in the car but it has had a clock change and looking at the MOT history the total mileage is circa 174, 000.
