In addition to this excellent service history, the latest MOTs have also been carried out by BMW main dealers (Listers BMW), we also have a large amount of previous MOT history as proof of the low mileage and generally, the continued excellent vehicle condition. Also, we have the original M3 brochure, full vehicle specification list including optional extras, various invoices for maintenance items such as tyres, original book packs including the service booklet, 2 Keys and even every tax disc from 2004 until 2014! Its safe to say, this vehicle has one of the most extensive history files we have ever seen. The previous owner of the car (who only used it during weekends, however, has reluctantly had to part with the car due to an unforeseen change in personal circumstances) also had a Scorpion Automotive M-Series Tracking system installed, the paperwork for this will be supplied upon collection to the new owner.
As you’d expect of a car with such an extensive history file, it’s clearly been very well looked after throughout its life. The paintwork is in exceptional condition, with no signs of any repair or previous accident damage. There is absolutely no rust on this vehicle other than very minor surface rust on the rear lower control arms which is consistent with its age and mileage. Both the soft top and hard top roof are in excellent overall condition and operate perfectly. The previous owner informed us that he had the wheels refurbished roughly 2 years ago due to some slight surface corrosion under the lacquer (common BMW fault even with modern BMWs). As you will see in the photos, the wheels have started to corrode again under the lacquer, it’s not severe but we do wish to make the potential buyer aware. As for the interior, again its in excellent general condition, and importantly it has not been smoked in. there is the odd minor age-related wear marks on the driver bolster, centre console and steering wheel, but certainly nothing untoward.
We truly believe this car is one of the best examples of an SMG E46 M3 in the UK today.
