Description
4 speed, Californian car with the quite rare VO2 black painted roof option, and bench seat.
Looked after and restored back to originality by Martin Savill of Rare Performance Motors. The engine was re-built back in 2019 whilst under the ownership of the previous fastidious Finnish owner and was dyno’d at 380bhp so performs extremely well for such a small and relatively light car.
RPM had the 4 speed stripped and overhauled and fitted an original factory shifter and wooden ball gear knob. New factory style valve covers where fitted along with a more suitable Holly carburettor. New battery and battery topper where installed and all the little niggly jobs were seen to such as body wiper seals, dash vents, body rubbers, re-coating of master cylinder, new plugs and leads were also made up along with a new coil and alternator. Now has the more desirable 3:55 Sure Grip back axle upgrade.
The car is nicely optioned and has the rallye dash, original tuff steering wheel and the light package which gave amongst other things the fender turn signal indicators. Also has power disk front brakes and power steering.
This is an extremely nice and appreciating example that has been thoroughly gone through by RPM so drives and performs very well.
Winner of two recent 2021 top 5 awards, MOPAR’S at Brooklands and most recently at the 27th MOPAR Euro Nats.
