Description
Welcome to the sale of my 1982 Rover SD1 2600s in Cashmere Gold with a low mileage of 66k and only 2 previous owners and is moted until 26th September 2022 (Please take a look at the mot history on the data base).
Now onto the car itself, as you can see from the pictures she really is a very honest and straight SD1 in great overall condition that will present herself very well at any classic car show.
The Rover was registered 01/ 03/ 82 and purhcased by a lady who kept the car until 2006, it was then purchased by its second owner and kept until last year when I purchased it. The car was only sold due to his long term illness, hence the gap in the mot history. When the car came up for sale locally to me I couldnt resist going to view even though I hadnt really anywhere to keep her (that hasnt changed hence the sale). The car was always kept garaged and kept under a blanket to stop the dust?.
The car is very good in all the usual weak points, no rusty scuttle or round the rear screen. Good gearbox that changes as she should, no rotten floors and head linnig in tact having been changed in the past. The only point of note is a couple of small bubbles grouped in one spot on the roof encouraged in storage by the blanket, which would be easy to rectifiy. I cannot find any other negatives if you want to call it that on the car, for a 40year old motor she looks rather splendid.
This is a very early series 2 car having a build date of October 1981 and as such from April 2022 will be eligible for historic tax should the new owner wish to apply.
I welcome any inspection or viewing and am happy to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for taking the time to read the advert.
