Bernie is a 1962 Chevrolet C20 - He lived most of his life in Spokane Washington, bought new by a Mr John W Sukumlyn who cherished it until he passed aged 99, his neighbours son then looked after it equally well for the following few years keeping it garaged and fully serviced until it was sold onto a Chevvy truck enthusiast with only 33K on the clock, that owner added a couple of thousand miles and then put it up for auction in Las Vegas where it was bought by a garage in Worthing, which is where we saw and bought it.
THE VIN DECODES CORRECTLY AS A 1962' 3/ 4 TON 2WD LONG BED 127" WHEEL BASE MANUFACTURED IN OAKLAND CALIFORNIA JUST DOWN THE WEST COAST.
Bernie is competely original with no rust, he is 100% stock 100% original
It has the original 261 CU Inch straight (4. 3L) six engine in totally stock condition with original carb and air cleaner. It has a 'three on the tree' manual transmission, we still have the stock wheels, but as you will see on the photos and video that we have added new wheels from North Hants Tyres which have done 10 miles or less !!

Bernie has his original pick up bed, stock original interior and sunvisors and side chrome gauges, sterrig wheel, original styled cloth seats and even the original floor mats !
We have a folder of original documents, sales brochures, warrenty, instruction manuals etc
We decided after a couple of enjoyable years of ownership that we want a more 'static' project, so we have decided to relunctly sell him.
He has been a real headturner at a number of car shows in Somerset. As an original vehicle, we are quite sure that you will not find a better example in the UK
