Descrição
1991 LHD Mercedes 300TE Estate - Low Mileage - One Owner - Customized to high German specification – Collectable Classic.
The presentation of this car both external and internal is excellent. The leather upholstery is “as new”. This has always been a non-smoking car. Nor has it ever been used to transport pets or small children. The rear seats have rarely been occupied and only the driver’s seat squab has some slight evidence of usage (photo 109).
MOT valid to 12-11-2022. V5C form is in order and to hand.
Odometer: 136, 500 km (84, 800 miles)
The W124 series is considered by enthusiasts to be the best cars Mercedes ever built. In production for a record 13 years 1984/ 1997 (twice as long as any other model) and they are collectable classics.
This car is the only one of its kind in the UK and far superior to the UK model available at the time which offered few optional extras compared to the extensive list available in Germany. This was a custom order direct with Mercedes built to their highest specification for delivery at Stuttgart
i am only parting with it now because due to a recent change in my lifestyle i no longer need a car.

SERVICE & REPAIRS
The Service Logbook is available and records that all the scheduled services were carried out at Mercedes agents up to 130, 000 Km. Thereafter I have only done approx 500 Km/ year so servicing in accordance with the logbook mileages was inadequate and it has had a major "B Service" every 2, 000 km.
The spheres of the hydraulic self-levelling rear suspension were routinely changed at 120, 000 km in accordance with the service manual.
The gearbox oil and filter, the differential oil and the brake fluid were all changed at 128, 000 km.
The Pirelli P6000 tyres have good treads They are quieter and give smoother steering than Michelins and have the same life. The spare developed a small sidewall blister within the first 1000 km. Unsuitable as a running wheel but fine for limited use in the event of a flat.
The brake pads are good
The undersides of the wings are rust-free.
The Varta battery is in excellent condition as i keep it on a maintenance charger
The only noteworthy mechanical repair has been the replacement of the seals of the differential at 131, 000 km. Otherwise mostly just replacement of components that have a limited working life e. g. Front shock absorbers, water pump, alternator, a/ c compressor, engine mountings, bushes of the prop shaft universals, tailgate gas struts, exhaust system
