Launched in 1996 by Jaguar as the first generation of the XK8 series. It was a brand new car on a platform (further developed from the XJS model) that was so good, that Aston Martin choose also to use it. The engine too was new – a compact 4. 0-liter 32-valve V8 with 290hp, which replaced the famous in-line 6 cylinder engine. The engine was later to be found in many Jaguar, Aston Martin, Daimler, Lincoln and Land Rover cars. Series 1 – considered by many to be the most beautiful – was produced until 2002 as a coupe or convertible.
This car origin from Italy and we were surprised how well maintained and well equipped the car is. It’e easily seen the car has lived its whole life in the more car-friendly climate in Italy, it still present itself completely original and unspoiled, with its sparkling beautiful metal-blue paintwork and bright leather cabin. The impression of classic British sport and elegance is complete when you sit in the thick leather seats in the cabin surrounded by plenty of precious wood. Plenty of instruments ensure that even a retired Spitfire pilot will feel at home. The car is registered in the Italian Classic Car register ASI, requiring a very high degree of originality. With a full service book and only 140kkm on the speedometer, there are lots of joyful experiences yet to come.
