Here we present for sale a rare early award-winning 1961 Jaguar E-type 3. 8 Litre Roadster. Chasis 875268 won best in class at Southport Classic and Speed in October 2021.
This rare car was one of the first 268th E-Type produced by Jaguar at the Browns Lane factory in Coventry, England, manufactured on 21st July 1961 before being dispatched to the United States. This is one of the very early left-hand drive, outside bonnet lock cars with factory flat floors and welded separate hood louvres.
?The vehicle is Opalescent Gunmetal in colour and has a Red interior with a Black hood. (original factory specification).
A full nut and bolt restoration was completed on the car in 2014 to better than new and to its original specification.
The car was acquired in 2015 by its current owner as a part of a private collection and has been maintained to a very high standard in heated indoor storage.
This car has just been recommissioned ready for its new owner and run-in with just under 1500 miles showing on the rebuilt odometer.
