Lotus Europa 47 style bodywork / banks tubular space frame chassis finished in gold leaf colours, I have owned this one approximately 9 years and has been in dry storage since unfortunately I’ve not been able to complete the restoration as intended due to work overseas/ & other projects so time has come for another enthusiast to appreciate this future classic…twenty years ago this car had serious amount of money spent but sadly due to an illness of previous ownership was left to decline suffering in damp conditions on most mechanical components. the original Renault engine had been removed and replaced with Vauxhall 1800 Astra GTE that was professionally fitted during a body off restoration, car was running when purchased clutch free & engaging gears but requires everything restoring as I previously mentioned, complete expensive professional respray sanded back to gel coat and painted in iconic gold leaf colours which is now beginning to show small areas of pitting mainly on boot lid otherwise beautiful, the 47 style bodywork on this car is amazing there’s many special features like round wheel arch’s and subtle flared lip which accentuate the cars racing lines perfectly plus the addition of naca ducts and flush side fuel fillers, brake / clutch cylinders mounted above pedals
The car requires full mechanical overhaul as has been sitting long time, engine not running & needs some spare items like screen, centre consul ect…
