MK1 Volkswagen Golf Clipper Convertible 1989 - MJZ 8071.
For sale is my much loved Golf Mk1 Cabriolet. Very low mileage for it's age at only 88, 500 miles, and travelled less than 2000 miles in my 2 year ownership. OFFERS ACCEPTED.
I purchased this clipper from Northern Ireland in 2020. It was in good condition, having been dry-stored by the previous owner, and just needed a little TLC to bring it back to it's current beautiful and stunning standard.
All original OEM parts have been used, purchased from Heritage Parts Centre, or via a VAG certified garage.
Works done in my ownership have included bodywork (approx £1500 spent); Replacement Tyres, Full Service by VAG specialist, Full detail with Engine bay cleaned (750 spent). Full details with receipts will be issued to any serious buyer.
Fully restored and is original in every way, other than the radio which has been replaced by a previous owner; VDO guages (not connected), with a replacement SS Exhaust System.
The car has been dry-stored since in my ownership. The interior is original and virtually untouched; it has had a replacement hood and liner. All windows are original with VAG markings on each. Originally registered in UK under a different registration (can be provided if needed), imported to Northern Ireland, then imported back to England by myself in April 2020.
The engine is sweet, smooth and oil leak free and it ticks over, once warm as happy as any new VW. The engine is sound and that can be verified by a local mechanic who has serviced, MOT'd and maintained the car for me.
The last major service was August 2020; latest MOT August 2021. A New Service will be provided prior to sale.
I am willing to liaise with any serious potential buyer and accommodate them if travelling by train to Penrith.

This car is really collectable and a sound investment. I am selling due to purchasing other VW cars, and I simply don't have the room for it anymore! I would love for this car to go to someone who will look after it and care for it as much as I have done. Please contact me with any questions.
