I imported this lovely 1969 Porsche 911T about 3 years ago. It was a Californian black plate car and had no rust. The under seal is still the original. The paint was tired so Fenn Lanes Motorsport stripped it and repainted in Slate Grey. When rebuilt, all new seals were used. It’s since been a driven car, and I have enjoyed putting a few trouble free miles on her. I haven’t however used her much this year and due to a space issue, am reluctantly selling it. The paint is still in good condition all round and buffs to sn amazing lustre. I’m not sure if you have seen a slate grey car in the flesh but it’s a remarkable colour, almost changing in different lights. There are a couple of annoying bird poo blemishes on the roof.
We fitted a brand new dash from Porsche (£1000!) and a new correct headlining. And the bobble backed carpets were replaced. The seats are in rip free condition. New period style seatbelts front and back. It has I’m told a rare 14” leather steering wheel. It could do with a couple of new sun visors as the originals have finally crumbled inside. I kept them as they were original, and they work but it’s personal taste.
The lights have been replaced with Uk spec. As have the indicators, front and back.
I fitted new classic Avon tyres all round, which have now covered a couple of thousand miles but in almost new looking condition. The wheels I’m told were polished Fuch from the factory but I can’t find anything to confirm this. It has and original spare under the bonnet, covered with the original carpets.
The 2. 0l engine and sportomatic gearbox are both matching numbers. Whilst the gearbox is not everyone’s taste. It works as it should and I enjoy its clutch less manual. Rare as hens teeth in matching numbers now, very hard to find.
It has S spec bumper trims optioned and rare stainless cill covers.
The original Weber carbs were removed, carefully vapour blasted and rebuilt with all new seals etc.
It runs and ticks over smoothly with no smoke. I think it would benefit from a little time on a rolling road to optimise it’s power.
Overal a nice clean car with a couple of little jobs to do for the perfectionist, or drive with pleasure as is. I’ve enjoyed this car and hope it goes to a good home.
