1 family/ 2 person owner VW Polo
1. 9 TDI PD100 "ATD" Engine, 5 speed manual gearbox
MOT until 30th November 2022
Purchased new at Parkway VW Derby in 2004 by the original owner. Then passed upwards to their father in approx 2010. He has recently stopped driving and the vehicle has come into my possession.
I have been using the car for the last few weeks for commuting and personal travel.
2 VW Keyfobs
No knocks, bangs or rattles.
Good positive gear engagement with smooth clutch action
Engine pulls briskly and smoothly with nonunusual smoke
Interior never smoked in
Sport trim level including but not limited to:
•Metallic Black 5 door
•Sport cloth interior
•Front fog lights
•Driver & passenger airbags with seat airbags
•Electric Front Windows
•VW Gamma radio/ 6 CD changer (unfortunately changer doesn't read CDs)
•Air conditioning
•Front Fog Lights
•Cup holder
•15" Alloy Wheels with full size spare
Partial service history, VW dealer stamps in the book until 2010 then it changes to A4 work sheets until 2012. A different garage takes over for a couple years there after. Some MOT history included and receipts for remedial works.
Since it has come into my care I have undertaken:
•Full service using VW Quantum 5W/ 30 oil and Mann Filters
•×4 Toyo Proxies TR1 195/ 50/ R15 V (82)
•Comma G30 coolant/ antifreeze change
•Febi Bilstein GL4 75W gearbox oil
•Brembo Front brake discs and pads
An 18 year old car that unfortunately does bear some scars of use as pictured.
•NSF bumper scrape
•NSF wing small rust patch 11 o clock plus hedge scratches down the length
•Rear bumper scuff and loading marks
•OSR arch scuff
•Both OS door handle areas ring/ jewelry light scratches
•OSF wing/ arch minor rust bubbling
•Steering wheel shiny surfaces worn down
•Alloy wheels have some kerbing
An honest example of a decent car. VW build quality with the legendary 1. 9 TDI fitted makes for excellent daily transport. Ideal first car or daily commuter 55+mpg.
Already own a Skoda Octavia 1. 9 TDI estate so I am moving the VW on, would have no issue pushing this into primary vehicle service.
