Exterior: Just stunning in this original Gulf blau colour. Very close to perfect paint on this old Beetle. Just some very minor scratch can be found. The wheels have been sandblasted and painted recently. And then fitted with white stripe tyres. All rubber and chrome details on the car is perfect. The body hade been lifted and the undercarriage have been properly cleaned and painted. Then sealed to the body again. The underneath of this VW Beetle is very healthy. The body has been repainted, but otherwise all original. The sideboards have been refurbished as original. Brand new old stock headlights.
Interior: This VW Beetle is soo clean inside you think it is all brand new. But is actually all original on the inside. Only the headliner was replaced since they get stains over the years. The speedometer and the fuel gauge are beautiful, just like the steering wheel. It is the coolest feeling sitting in this car from 1962 and it feels like it just rolled out from the factory. Still also original carpets in excellent condition. Also the front compartment is in top condition with the original cardboard panel. And underneath that it still has the original chalk marks from the factory.
Engine: The engine had a complete rebuild recently with new pistons and bearings. While the engine was out it was converted to 12v system. All original parts are saved with the car. Engine compartment was detailed to match the condition of the rest of the car. Engine and gearbox now runs perfect. Brakes have also just been done with new cylinders and hoses etc. On the mechanical side this VW Beetle is very much up to date and ready to drive away.
History: It had some owners over the years. But the last owner had this car since 2008 and took very good care of it and did most of the work to get it in to the condition it is today. Truly kept in amazing original condition. The sticker with the paint name is till intact under the spare wheel. Original handbook, jack and tools. This is an ordinary VW Beetle 1962 in extraordinary condition.
