1978 LOTUS ELITE 504 AUTOMATIC
A project that we don't have time for with amazing amounts of potential
As you can see in the pictures the chassis isn't rotten
Body needs some paintwork, but the fibreglass is in great condition with no sagging
Engine runs Lots of pictures available on request
Rebuilt DELLORTO twin carbs, will need some adjusting
SPAX SHOCKS with adjustable dampening
Comes with new windscreen from - details above
Rear passenger side seat is missing, but again - details above will be useful for this
Happy to do compression test. I’ve added this because in the video it’s only running on three and a half cylinders. When we got it out of storage the carbs where not happy! So pulled em ordered a rebuild kit from lotus bits. (Absolutely brilliant business to deal with!) chucked em in the ultra sonic cleaner then stripped and rebuilt. They haven’t been tuned at all. Factory settings that’s it! I don’t want to run it long because I haven’t changed the cambelt. (New one comes with the car) and the car has been stored since 96. So belt is at least that old. I put fresh oil and filter on it. Plugs, leads etc etc. And have only started it a couple times since. But I’m happy to do a compression test and film it if anyone wants to see it. We really really don’t want to sell it! Been a long time since I came across one that didn’t need chassis work and suspension and engine. We just don’t have the time in the next 3 to 4 years to get to this one. So she’s gotta go. Happy to except offers and even possible part x. Call with any questions or photo/ video requests.
