A very original car with provable low 46K mileage and only two original lady owners from new and always garaged. So unlike the many V8's that have been messed about and or restored etc. I only had to respray body and rechrome bumpers and clean up the interior. As an auto engineer of 60 years specialising in Daimlers and Jags, I hand picked this car for its originality and to last me out. But I don't use it as much as it should be, so has to go. No mechanical work was needed except electronic ignition fitted and drives like new.
The history of this car is truly quite unique. The first lady owner owned a posh West End London business bought the car in 1965 and it was serviced regularly on a contract by Stratstones-well known Jag/ Daimler dealer. She retired in 1998 and moved to Dawlish in Devon. In 2003 she sold it to another woman she knew living only 5 miles away. Upto that date the car had only done 43000 miles averaging only 1100 per year, which for a V8 is nothing. The 2nd lady owner garaged it up in 2009 at only just under 46000miles. So having done only 3K miles in the years 2003 to 2009, thus averaging only 300 miles pa. I bought it in 2020 at the 46K mileage and have done only 500 in 2 years while it was re-commissioned. It is garaged and whilst I intended to start using it on the odd days out, I now reluctantly feel that due to the traffic now on the roads, especially in the South plus all the idiots, I don't feel like risking such a nice car. It needs to go to a home where it will get used. Send for a list of what I did to re-commission it.
