Porsche 718 RSK Replica unfinished project
Complete kit!
Based on a 1967 Beetle ( The best year as it retains the wide 5 hubs but with ball joint front suspension).
The car was originally built in the 1980's, registered and used on the road but has been off the road and stored since 1992. Currently on SORN.
The shortened chassis has been fully reconditioned and painted gloss black. Lowered ball joint front beam with adjusters and new ball joints and caster shims fitted. front and rear body support subframes are included as is a rear inner arch / storage platform.
The body is in its original silver paint. It shows a degree of fading and scrapes ready to paint or indeed leave as is with the addition of racing numbers to give the "just raced" patina look. The RS 60 laminated screen and frame along with the lower frame for a perspex flyscreen.
New running gear incl full front wide 5 disc brake system with new master cylinder/, discs / calipers and pipes, dropped spindles. New rear brakes with new wide 5 drums and all internal braking parts. New shock absorbers etc all ready to fit .
The Engine is a running 1200 with electronic ignition and alternator. J tubes and cannon exhausts.
Also included are a Nardi steering wheel, 2 wiring looms, instruments, the interior trim pieces ( vinyl to re-cover is included), aluminium fuel tank, a pair of aluminium bomber seats, new boxed set of steel wheels plus the original used set of steel wheels. Plus a box of miscellaneous new parts.
It will need some work to get back on the road ( although a weekend would have a finished rolling chassis) but as its vw based its mot and tax exempt and retains the 1967 age related reg no. V5 and build manual included.
