Description
This mighty Cobra is built by the British company Autokraft, called the Autokraft MKIV. Equipped with a 302 CU Ford V8, Borgwarner T5 transmission and an independent suspension. In 1986 Autokraft bought AC Car and was allowed to use the AC name. This Cobra
with construction number AK1298 was built in 1989 and delivered to the first owner in New York. In 1996 the car was then sold to an Austrian owner.
When the current (also Austrian) owner bought it, the car had 10, 000 km on the odo. He decided to take things seriously and becides a "bare metal respray" for its aluminium body and conversion to a proper 427 look, the engine was also taken care of. It got Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, a new camshaft, carburettor and a new exhaust system. The taillights were changed, as well as the front windshield, mirrors and dashboard with Smith's instruments.
The result is stunning! The build quality and finish are among the highest in this segment. The car is very easy to handle and a pleasure to drive. We strongly believe that this Cobra is one of the most beautiful and best cars available on todays market.
