Beschreibung
For sale is my 1997 Ferrari F355 spider, the car was supplied by autobecker in Germany new to the U. K. through maranello sales despite being a left hand drive vehicle.
Specified in black on black with black calipers, with a manual gearbox and a spider configuration.
This car has had 5 previous owners in its 25 year existence and I have owned it for the last 5+ years.
Used very seldom in my ownership (just 1000 miles) now showing 28, xxx miles
The car has been previously used and enjoyed and as such now shows some wear on areas such as the roof that has had a repair but overall the car presents rather well.
The engine out cambelt service was completed 5+ years ago along with tensioner bearings, cam-cover refinish and gaskets, new plugs, HT leads, new oil cooler, O/ S radiator and engine mounts etc
The brakes were all renewed in 2019 with new brake discs, pads, handbrake shoes, cables and stainless steel brake hoses, the coil springs were also replaced for updated ‘Fiorano’ items as the old ones were showing signs of age and sagging
A new headlight motor was installed at the same time along with new brake cooling ducts on the front and hill engineering wheel spacers and bolts.
The sticky interior has been rectified and looks better than new and without the problem of going sticky again, a carbon F50 style gear knob was fit along with a Sabelt steering wheel and boss kit to remove the large air bag steering wheel. (Retained and boxed with airbag).
The interior shows some sign of wear in particular to the drivers seat as to be expected on a car this age. The rest of the leather is in fine order with no shrinking to the dashboard etc.
everything works internally including the roof which operates without fuss and seats move back and forth on the button correctly.
The car runs very well and has no manifold issues, runs a capristo stainless steel sports exhaust and Tubi cat bypass pipes- the sound is incredible. A challenge grille was fit at time of exhaust change along with new badges on the rear.
This F355 drives very well and is a joy to drive, however at very high RPM the engine occasionally smokes a little bit; I haven’t investigated this as it’s been in storage for the last 12 month+ without any use and want to purchase another vehicle, hence the sale. The car is completely Usable and drivable.
The car has its original Schedoni wallet with all the books and of course original service book filled with stamps from main dealers and of later years specialists. Spare keys and receipts accompany the history.
An unused original tool kit is present along with oil top up kit and original car cover and seats covers/ steering wheel cover etc.
Contemporary 246 Dino at an affordable price with real investment scope for the future.
