Available for sale is this very original (matching numbers) Series C Vincent Black Shadow despatched to Humphreys of London 19th May 1951.
This machine has been in the custody of the current owner for nearly 60 years and has been stored unused since the 1960’s.
This represents a unique opportunity to acquire an original, authentic, Vincent Black Shadow, in time-warp condition, that hasn't been ridden since its heyday.
Recently, it has been sympathetically recommisioned and brought back to life by ourselves at BSK Speedworks, with a view to keeping its originality whilst ensuring it is safe and useable on the road once again.
The recent work included new oil and fuel hoses, tyres, tubes and stainless rims. The control cables were renewed and the carburettors were ultrasonically cleaned. The petrol tank was damaged and in poor condition generally so had to be restored and repainted. The seat was recovered and a new pad fitted at the same time. The base is original. A new battery and wiring loom were also fitted.
