Beschreibung
Series V 1725cc with overdrive built in 1967, turquoise
blue metallic code 127.
Originally registered in California it was brought
to the UK in 1996 for restoration having been off
the road since 1974. A nut and bolt restoration
and conversion to rhd, for which I have
photographs, was carried out by Bob Brissenden
of Sittingbourne in 1996. The car is standard
except for fog and reversing lights and the radio
cassette.
The car has never needed replacement panels
or chassis welding and all bodywork is original.
This is one of the last 700 Alpines to be made
and carries the pentastar badge as this followed
the purchase of the Rootes group by Chrysler.
Leather seat trimming was carried out by
Connolly Leather in 1997.
The car won non-standard class award at SAOC
national meet, I’ve owned a lot of these cars in the past few years and this is the nicest S5 I have ever owned. Price reflects condition as I’m not asking the 30k price tag of a concourse car.
