Description
This is an original example which was imported into the UK from Italy where she had been sold from new. She has clear frame and engine numbers which translate to date of manufacture as 1967. The bike is registered in the UK on an age related 1997 identity “E” suffix plate. She is also in the “Historic Vehicle” tax class which means she has free road tax and is now exempt from the MOT test.
She has been fitted with 12v ignition and has a new bench seat from SIP (single & pillion saddle included too), all new cables and gear tube and have also been fitted in the last year.
I purchased her from Retrospective Scooters, Walthamstow, London in August 2017 and have done approximately 1500 dry miles over the past 4 summers and it hasn’t missed a beat. She starts first time or just a couple of kicks if she’s been standing over winter!
She would benefit from a light restoration. She’s mechanically great and her body is rust free except for a couple of points where the centre stand flicks up and hits under the floorboards and a few paint blemishes (see pictures). Other than that, she’s good to go.
