“Collection by Vermant” is pleased to be able to offer you this beautiful Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12. Probably one of the most iconic cars ever produced and a car that the legendary Enzo Ferrari claimed to be “the most beautiful in the world”. This E-Type was delivered new to the United States on February of 1971. Not much is known about the E-Types whereabouts until 2013, when it was imported into Belgium. In Belgium, the car has had only two owners and travelled a mere 1. 300 kilometers since being imported. The first owner fixed some small problems on the car and replaced some parts. Invoices for these parts are present in the file of the car.
When looking at the exterior of this E-Type, we can find a beautiful Burgundy red exterior colour. This suits the E-Type very well and gives the car a very classy and distinguished look. This E-Type is finished with the wire wheels, which benefit the overall look of the E-Type and enhance its sporty look. The chromework of the car has been very well taken care of and is free of dents or scratches. The same can be said for the paintwork of the car.
When looking at the interior of this E-Type, we can find a beautiful Cognac coloured leather interior. This has been refinished in recent years and is still in excellent condition. Only one blemish is present on the drivers backrest due to improper operation of the roof. Continuing in the interior, we find the impressive instrument cluster with fully functional gauges and a built in 12V cigarette plug built into the centre console. To complement the cognac coloured interior finish, brown carpets were fitted to make the interior complete. A brown Mohair roof was- fitted on the car to give a hint of the cognac coloured interior and to contrast the bordeaux paint of the car. The bordeaux and brown colours work extremely well together and make this E-Type stand out.
Recently, a lot has been invested into bringing this E-Type back to running condition. All Series 3 E-types are fitted with a power steering system, that are prone to leaking and subsequently going defect. The system in this car has been revised and working flawlessly. Same has been done to the automatic gearbox. This was professionally reconditioned and parts replaced where necessary. Due to its ample use, the exhaust system had accumulated condensation water in the low spots and showed some signs of corrosion. This occurs when the engine is frequently started bot not driven. The exhaust system doesn’t have the opportunity to get hot enough to vaporise the condensation water in its system. This was subsequently also replaced to get rid of the corrosion.
This E-Type is a perfect opportunity to acquire a great drivers car in a very unusual but magnificent colour combination and it is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner!
