Description
This stunning 1972 Jaguar E-Type SIII Auto V12 Roadster comes to us all the way from Loch Lomond . Registered new on 24th November 1972, this original UK-market car left the factory finished in timeless White with Black interior. The car was supplied new via the renowned Henleys dealership and was originally issued the London registration mark MMK 846L.
During the mid-2010s, this E-Type was subject of a thorough, comprehensive body restoration in Glasgow, Scotland. It is clear to see the work was executed to a very high standard, ensuring the iconic curves of this V12 Roadster hold a deep paint finish. Following this major bodywork, the interior was treated to an exquisite, no-expense-spared full retrim by the industry-leading specialists Suffolk & Turley, totaling nearly £10, 000. The cabin now presents beautifully, perfectly blending luxury and classic British sports car heritage, enhanced by the tactile addition of a 15-inch Mota-Lita steering wheel.
Mechanically, this V12 feels truly first classic boasting a tremendous driving experience with its smooth power delivery and automatic gearbox. We carried out a significant test drive on the beautiful roads near Loch Lomond before bringing the car to Yorkshire and it does drive incredibly well. Smooth, sophisticated, no suspension knocks or rattles, perfect power delivery and super smooth gear changes and kick down. In 2018, the cooling system was refreshed with a new radiator, and the engine was treated to a modern spin-on oil filter conversion to ensure easy ongoing maintenance.
With its restored bodywork and first class paintwork, magnificent Suffolk & Turley interior, and excellent provenance, this beautiful Roadster is an exceptional, highly usable example ideal for long-distance touring and regular classic motoring.
