I’m advertising this Nissan Bluebird DX for a friend. If you have any questions that I haven’t covered in my listing below, please ask. The Nissan has had three previous owners. The first two registered keepers were an elderly married couple. Originally registered new in the husband’s name until his passing. Then registered to his wife. She too would pass away and the car would remain in storage until October 2012, some 27 years. The family eventually passing it on to trade collector. He would store the car for a further five years, unused until February 2017 when the current keeper, my friend took ownership.
Since purchasing the Nissan over five years ago my friend has done a considerable amount of recommissioning. He has used the car during the warmer season. Mostly for summer breaks and attending classic car shows. Covering just over 7000 miles in total.
Some recent work carried out over the past 7000 miles. Full Service (Owner Servicing), New Timing Belt, New Clutch, New Distributer and Rotor Arm, New Leads. New Battery, Webber Carb and Manual Choke fitted, New Alternator, New Tyres. CV Boot Kit, Steering Rack, Track Rod End, Wheels Refurbished. Paint Rectification. Full Stainless-Steel Exhaust.

Black Textured Door Protection Inserts, Chrome Exterior Detailing, Front Disc Brakes, Tinted Windows, Roof Wing Mounter Arial, Locking Fuel Cap. Interior Coloured Sill Protectors, Halogen Headlamps, Tow Bar with Single Electrics, Front and Rear Nissan Branded Mudflaps, 14” Steel Wheels, Original Supplying Dealer Number Plates.
Interior Specification: Padded Roof Lining, Pinstripe Velour Comfort Seats, Contrasting Tan carpets and Dash Trim. Exterior Condition: The bodywork is in very nice order. My friend had some paint rectification to sort out various small scuffs and scratches etc. This was done in 2017. The bodywork didn’t require any fillers and there is no evidence that it ever has. There is the odd very small blemish here and there. A couple of very small micro blisters. Nothing that would merit much discussion. All the glass windows are in perfect order. The underside is solid and a new stainless-steel exhaust has been fitted recently. The underside has surface corrosion showing. However, the chassis, floor pans, sills etc, are all rock solid. Not a show car. A very nice useable classic car.
Interior Condition: The cloth roof lining is immaculate and unmarked. The floor covering is in perfect condition. The cloth seats are immaculate and show little sign that they have been used. The carpets are immaculate and all the dash materials are completely unmarked. The interior is really quite amazing. Very 1980s styling. Please see my pictures.
Boot Compartment: Perfectly clean and dry. The original boot mat has been protected with a carped trim and is in good condition. The boot compartment is dry, clean and solid. The tools, jack and brace are all present and the spare wheel is like new. The spare tyre matches the others and is like new.
Wheels and Tyres: The Steel wheels are in perfect condition. They were recently restored and are now completely unmarked. The tyres are all quality branded. The tyres were sourced from Vintage Tyres. Tyre Size is 165 80 R14. The wheels are finished off with chrome branded centre caps and chrome wheel nuts.
Engine Bay: There is no corrosion on the body panels. The rocker cover, air filter casing. Hose clips and metal brackets have some corrosion. With a little time spent these could easily be brought back to near new condition. There is still a lot of factory wax on the panels and the dust has soaked into this. A bit of detailing and the engine compartment could match the rest of the car.
On the Road: The car drives exceptionally well. As soon as you drive off you will realise just how good it is. The steering feels taught and positive. The suspension is firm and comfortable. No squeaks or rattles at all. The petrol engine runs smooth, quiet and the gears change up and down the box with ease. The clutch is light and in perfect working order. The clutch was replaced recently. The brakes are in excellent working order. Everything on the car works. .
The Mot and servicing is all up to date. The new owner will have nothing to do but drive her away.
