Volvo B122 coupe fitted with a petrol ford cologne V6 2. 8 litre 150 bhp (just running it in) with a T5 ford sierra 5 speed gearbox. Mechanical modifications include OBP racing pedal box with twin brake master cylinders and brake balancer adjustment, green stuff discs and pads all round with new callipers (just bedding in), 20mm lowered springs and uprated dampers, refurbished 16" genuine Volvo galaxy alloy wheels with radial 165 tyres (replacing 15" steel wheels), racing petrol tank fitting in boot, exhaust with 3" tail pipes, handbrake relocated in centre consul, bespoke centre console running from dash to rear seats. Electrical upgrades are LED front headlamps with halo integral LED indicators, LED rear lights, Head unit stereo with screen and apple play and even a reverse camera, electronic ignition. New upgrade GPS dials (fuel, temp, oil pressure, rev counter and speedo), Upgraded blade type fuse box. Body modifications are bare metal respray with new wings & doors in BMW sapphire black metallic over epoxy primer, Bumpers shaved and tucked, dechromed and painted with car, rear number plate housing inset into boot lid, petrol filler relocated from rear bumper to rear quarter panel, bonnet scoop fitted, side light and indicator delete on body (as now integrated with headlamps), de-chromed and de-seamed body. Interior recovered in alcantara and leather, dash from Volvo P1800 (only 3 known to be converted in this country), front seats Recaro, Inertia real seat belts fitted, Momo steering wheel. This vehicle has taken over 2 years to build. The bodywork and spraying cost circa £20k alone. Base car was rust free with lots of custom bodywork added to produce a stunning modernised classic. Engine rebuilt. New clutch. Recon gearbox. Runs and drives superbly. Sounds awesome. Turns heads literally wherever I drive or park up. Has had circa £50k spent. All bills present. Massive drop box file of photos from the build. Work has all been carried out by professional Volvo restoration garage. Please note that this is a one off with tens of thousands spent. Final touches just being completed (eg needs a door hinge and door locks replaced - which will be completed within the next couple of weeks). It has pretty much custom everything. A one off opportunity to buy a vehicle for way under what anyone could build something like this for. This will be an amazing show winning car or a daily driver. I need the space and money to finish a 1955 MGTF restoration that's now hit the buffers due to lack of funds.
