I've owned the car for about 1 year, and have used regularly and contributed c. 4k miles to the 109k its covered today. The car has recently had a new water pump, major service (4 months ago) and MOT free of advisories (valid to Apr 2023).
In terms of condition - overall the car is in really nice condition, having regular and thorough maintenance throughout its life.
Cosmetically:
Body – the body is good with a few age related marks here and there, but overall nice shine on the paint and straight and true panels. The targa roof functions perfectly. I'd say that the wheels could do with a refurb, but their imperfections haven't really bothered my too much during my ownership.
Interior – Naturally biased, but I think this has one of the nicest 996 interiors I've seen. Being a . 2 car it benefits from glove box and cup holders and has the extended metropole blue leather elements to add to a more luxurious feel to the interior.
Electrically:
All features including the targa roof, sunblind and rear hatch are working correctly.
Mechanically:
The engine pulls really strongly and the gear change is smooth and precise. I don't have any evidence of the IMS having been replaced, but the car is over 100k miles now, so I'd just see this as something to do with the next clutch change.
Mileage: Current sat at just under 109k miles.
History:
I'm the 7th owner, with the previous owner having bought the car in 2012. The car has been well coddled throughout its life – all of the maintenance performed by Porsche themselves or Specialists and is substantiated by a comprehensive set of receipts as well as stamped book. More recent history includes:
