Description
Back up for sale is my lovely LHD 1972 Fiat 500L, in white with the striking red interior.
It runs and drives brilliantly, I just rebuilt the carb and serviced it - Oil, filter removed and cleaned, plugs, leads and distributor cap.
This is not your usual Italian import with fresh paint which is hiding a multitude of horrible repairs. It is in unbelievably solid and largely original condition, with only two areas on the entire car needing welding/ work (under the battery at the front and minor bubbling on the N/ S front lower panel - as photographed.) You really need to see it to understand how solid and unmolested it is.
The floors, sills, arches etc are all superb. The paint is a little worse for wear, but spent its life in Rome and I think its patina is irreplaceable so left it as it is.
The perfect candidate for restoration, if the patina isn't your personal preference, as so little needs to be done.
The interior is very good considering it’s age and originality.
It runs and drives brilliantly.
Ready to use and enjoy.
It has an intermittent issue with the oil pressure light flickering, dimly, after about 30/ 40 minutes of running. I'm hoping to have this confirmed but I've been told it's a wiring issue to the pressure switch.
MOT & Tax Exempt.
Viewings welcome and delivery can be arranged.
I am in no rush to sell it and it will continue to be used, until it or my Saab 9000 go.
