I have another Accord Type S (Tourer) and I have owned this for years, it has been modified and pulls like a train still and it has done over 253000 miles so I know how good these cars are!
This one drives lovely, is very strong and looks stunning. It has a K&N Induction kit which really helps you hear the VTEC sing!
It has recently had a new Alternator and the exhaust from an Accord Euro R (I think they are the same)
It has also had a new Windscreen (£175)
If it doesn’t sell I am going to keep it and modify it the same as my other one.
Known faults:
Passenger front Window doesn’t work – I have bought a replacement motor and I will try and get this done before sale.
It has an Engine light on and the code is Cam Sensor to Crank Sensor correlation – I believe that could mean that the timing chain is stretched but it run’s perfectly with no noise or rattles. Timing chain kit is about £200 to buy and I will do this if it doesn’t sell.
Due to the above fault the Traction control and ABS lights are also illuminated – apparently this is because the modules are linked
The Penta alloys are scuffed (I can get these fully refurbed for £180)
All in all, it is a really nice quick car that needs a bit of TLC – if I had the time and the space I just wouldn’t sell it! I have had my Tourer on the drag strip and on the circuit, they just handle and go so well.
