Chassis number J2/ M16-151724 - the vendor informs us that this J2 was purchased new from Proctor and Patterson the Austin Main Dealership in Elgin on July 22nd 1966 by George Watt of Dufftown. The minibus conversion was carried out by Martin Walter, Limited Folkstone (UB-24723. SB66). George Watt travelled to Folkstone and drove the minibus back home once the conversion was completed. The minibus did most of its work conveying school children between Cabrach and Mortlach primary schools in, Dufftown until the mid 1980's. The minibus was purchased from George Watt on the occasion of his retirement in 1990 by Edward McCormack & Sons and used the minibus for around 12 months before it was placed in storage until 2022. The minibus remains, in this companies name to this day and is currently still family owned. Mr McCormack wishes to point out that the cc as recorded on the older style V5 document is shown as 4622cc instead of 1622cc, there is a typo in the address recorded and that the, vehicle starts drives and stops but will require restoration and decommissioning.
