Jaguar 420G, 1969, dark blue with grey leather interior, auto with the same triple carb 4. 2 engine as the E Type at that time. This car is an amazing time warp. First purchased by one of the “Moss Bros.” brothers of Gents outfitters. He choose to be a Chauffeur. He bought the car for that purpose. From new it had tailor made over carpets, that the original ones underneath are as new. When he passed away his wife could not bare to part with the car, so, it sat for years in their garage in Nottingham. So long that, when the next owner came across it, a tree had grown so big on adjoining land to the University, that, they would not allow the tree to be cut into and, the Jaguar had to be withdrawn from the garage, unfortunately scrapping down the nearside of the Jaguar. All accounted for in letters in the cars history. Last year my wife and I used the 420G to go to Scotland, 1500 miles and it never missed a beat. Geoff.
