Selling my Honda VF 1000R.
The bike has always been reliable and gets used regularly. No excessive oil consumption, very quiet and smooth engine.
It’s not a show winner, but as I mentioned always starts on the button and has never let me down (it’s a Honda).
I believe this was originally a Canadian model – based upon the frame number.
Good tyres (less than 1000 miles).
Wilbers 640 rear shock, remote d&p. (original air shock was tired).
Recent full service and MOT. Carbs cleaned and serviced. Front forks rebuilt (replaced one fork bottom and repainted) , new chain and sprockets.
Obviously not original exhaust (the originals and collector had rotted quite badly – no other rust).
Tank is rust free, always run on either Esso or Shell and has always had Tetra Boost additive, during my ownership (12 Years).
Plastics are not in bad condition – a few age related scratches.
The mileage will increase as I still enjoy riding the bike. An honest example of a classic big Honda.
