Description
This Jensen is arguably the last GT built with a connection to the Jensen Motors Ltd. Chassis number 30123 started on the production line on 18th August 1975 and completed approx 6 weeks later. There is a letter from Jensen Motors in the file stating that it was then handed to the engineering department. Whilst here it was resprayed in Cheviot brown from its original saba blue. Less than a month later Jensen Motors Ltd went into receivership. Several attempts were made to salvage the company but in August 1976 the receivers held an auction at the factory and this Gt was sold on unfinished presumably after being stripped for painting. It was later completed in 1987 and first registered on an age related plate in 1988. The history file contains a huge amount of provenance including the factory build records and is well known in Jensen circles.
A webasto sunroof was fitted in 2017. The car has covered less than 15000 miles from new and is mechanically superb. The Lotus 2 litre twin cam engine mated to a 5 speed getrag gearbox makes for a very nice drive. The Jensen has been regularly waxoiled as detailed in the file
The paperwork is too extensive to list in detail, but there are lots of old mots, the aforementioned build records, invoices for parts and repairs, magazines etc. the current mot test is valid until July 2023
