Original Portuguese license plate vehicle in original condition, with 135, 000 kilometres.
Interiors in very good condition and original paint with signs of use. Mechanics taken care of.
Original radio, two keys and user manuals.
In May 1993, Renault launched the Clio Williams, a limited edition of 3, 800 units, based on the Clio 16S but with the 2 liter F7R engine and JC5 gearbox, improved suspension, spectacular gold Speedline alloy wheels and exclusive interiors with the Williams logo embroidered on the sport seats and blue seat belts.
It was a homologation version for FIA Gr. A/ Gr. N, with many improvements only available on the Williams.
They sold out so quickly that Renault ended up making 1, 617 more units. These 5, 417 units are known as the «Clio Williams 1» and are easily distinguished by the numbered plate on the dashboard.
The sales success of the Clio Williams was such that Renault produced 5065 more units of what would be called the «Williams 2» and even a third series of 1618 units known as the «Williams 3», out of a total of 12, 100 Clio Williams produced.
Many of the Clio Williams were converted directly into racing cars, contributing greatly to the Clio Williams being today an iconic car, rare and of interest to collectors, whether it is a numbered unit or not.
