1954 chevrolet 3100 custom pick-uptruck as featured in american car world magazine in december 2007.
this truck underwent £30k plus, body off, ground up restoration, taking over two years, completed in 2004 and is finished in chrysler burgundy & gmc cream two tone.

1968 fully rebuilt chevrolet camaro 350ci small block v8 (by steve harvey at rpm)
new automatic 350 turbo transmission (fitted by namco in farnborough earlier this year )
new electronic ignition (fitted by namco in farnborough earlier this year)
1968 camaro front clip.
1968 camaro suspension, lowered.
1968 camaro front disc brakes & rear drum brakes.
1968 camaro 10 bolt rear with 3. 31:1 gears.
immaculate varnished wooden rear truck bed.
custom rear roll pan with dual exhaust exits & recessed number plate.
steel smoothies (7x15 front - 8x15 rear)
burgundy & cream leather finished tuck & roll bench seat & matching door panels to compliment the exterior two tone paint work.
the truck has covered only 9k miles since the rebuild/ restoration and is in excellent all round condition. It has the advantage of looking like an original restored truck with a stock series 3100 half-ton pick-up body, with slightly larger fatter rear tires & a lowered front end; While being much more useable with more recent running gear, suspension & brakes. The interior remains period in appearance except for the floor mounted shifter, updated steering column and billet aluminium steering wheel & foot control pedals. It had a new transmission & electronic ignition fitted in february & runs very smoothly.
i am only selling this fantastic truck because after finally managing to get hold of an amazing magazine/ show vehicle with the intention of using her as a daily driver & carrying a couple of dirt bikes around in the bed……i just can’t bring myself to scratch & scuff her by using her as a motorcycle hauler. The kids & the bikes are not allowed near it! She is just too nice! Even the engine bay is immaculate with all the electrics hidden inside the cab to keep the engine bay looking neat & uncluttered. And, after someone spent all that money & attention to detail on her restoration, i can’t bring my self to use her for the purpose i bought her. (hence the reason i would consider part-ex for a more modern american pick-up or a scruffier one)
