Very nice example of the first series Jaguar XJS Convertible that was built by Hess & Eisenhardt (the coachbuilder of the Beast presidential car USA) that was delivered in small numbers.
Because the factory buildings of Hess & Eisenhardt burned down, the production only delivered a limited number of cars.
Jaguar only started production afterwards.
The big difference of the Hess & Eisenhardt and Jaguar XJS Convertible is the position of the convertible top when folded away.
With the Hess & Eisenhardt version the hood folds away in the body and with Jaguar the hood lies on the body.
The first versions also had nicer chrome details such as chrome wire wheels.
With this Jaguar, every part is still original and you can check this on the basis of all original barcode stickers that you can find on each part.
