Recently imported from South Africa.
This Alfa was last used and road taxed in 2010 (South Africa). The owner purchased it on the 3/ 3/ 2006, 16 years of ownership.
Car will be supplied with all the necessary (and correct) paperwork to make the registration process easy, South African logbook and Nova certificate, etc.
I have been importing cars from South Africa for a long time now, i know how it works and also how it does not!
Will cost the new owner £55 to register and no more.
MOT and road tax exempt.
I can register for a fee.
This is a genuine 2000 GTV, RHD, with the correct AR241 right hand drive vin number, 2L engine and factory fitted LSD diff. Only the 2000 GTV, s came as standard with a lsd diff, was also a factory option on 1750, s but very rare on those.
I have seen cars selling recently which claim to be 2000 GTV, s and this is not always the case.
A very nice car with no signs of previous welds or bodge body repairs.
No obvious signs of filler and quite a thin coat of paint.
The perfect car to restore to a high standard without having to go crazy.
Body is very good, solid and very straight.
Engine sounds great with no smoke or anything else it should not do, but will need a little set up.
Engine numbers are correct for the vehicles age so could quite possibly be the original bottom end, but cannot guarantee this. The cylinder head is a later Alfetta head.
Rear lights are in superb condition and are original Altissimo and not repo copies that are supplied now and marked as Altissimo.
Front headlights are excellent and original Carello, and not repo copies that are marked as Carello.
No sunroof.
There are no fibreglass panels on this car, all original steel.
Excellent panel gaps.
Original and unmolested sills.
Original bumpers are in excellent undamaged condition.
Floor needs a small amount of work around one or two jacking points.
Original wheel arches, with original spot welds.
Very good bootlid.
Boot floor and spare wheel well look great, with no previous repairs.
Original Webers.
Will need o/ s lower front wing section panel replaced.
The interior, well here we go,
the seats are original and in very good undamaged condition. They have been recovered very well, i am not sure on the material used if leather or not, but i would dye them black.
Carpets are very good, with hardly any wear.
Steering wheel :( easily changed and the same for the white dials.
