Audi Quattro B2 Coupe 2. 2 WR (1987) in Lago blue. A 6 owner example which has been in the possession of the current owner for almost 20 years, having covered 140, 540miles and displayed in a very genuine and lovely condition. The Quattro transformed Audi's image during this era and is considered by many one of the finest road/ rally cars of its day. The punchy turbocharged engine and composed four-wheel drive chassis delivered an unmatched driving experience. Beyond the standard features that the Quattro enjoyed which include power steering, ABS, electric windows, central locking and a sunroof, this vehicle also benefits from factory options of full leather interior and a vinyl roof.
The WR model was fitted with the 2144cc SOHC 10V inline 5 cylinder, a turbo charged power unit which produced 200PS and delivered super car performance in its day with a top speed of 137mph and 0-60 in just 7. 1 secs. With four-wheel drive and a five-speed manual gearbox, the Quattro was readily equipped to deliver a truly rewarding driver experience.
Externally the quattro is easily identifiable by its striking wide arch body panels which provide you with a constant reminder of the car's rally heritage. The bodywork on this Audi is truly excellent and must be seen to be appreciated. If you're looking for a rust-free Quattro, you need not look any further. The underside is probably one of the tidiest that we’ve seen, with the owner having renewed a significant volume of suspension components within the last 2, 000miles.
The interior seat trim is full leather all of which is in great condition with no rips or signs of any concerning wear and is a testament as to how well the Quattro has been cared for over the years. The dashboard, door trims and steering wheel are all in excellent condition.
The impeccable history records illustrate where regular investment has been made in maintaining and caring for the fine example you see here today. Audi main dealer/ Audi specialist completed work on the vehicle for many years. A history file that includes the original service book and a stack of receipts for work completed throughout ownership. A comprehensive MOT history and also a collection of the old tax discs are also included. The cambelt, clutch, oil service and brake discs/ pads all around, have all been replaced within the last 2, 000 miles.
Wanting only the best for his Quattro, no expense has been spared in order that the highest level of care has been maintained, whilst the owner has been overseas for 5 years. Throughout this period the vehicle has been cared for by an indoor vehicle storage facility, which has included monthly start-ups and regular drivetrain movement.
