History:
The profile of a Méhari reads like no other vehicle, not even comparable leisure vehicles from other manufacturers:
Named after the Touareg "Méhari" dromedary that could carry 400kg on its back, the converted Citroën Dyane was designed with a 400kg payload. The first "anti-shock" car, the Méhari was named thanks to its virtually indestructible body. No dents or rust could be done to the Méhari.
The maximum power at a sports car-like 7'000 revolutions per minute let the lightweight of 525 kilograms be nippy on the road. This Méhari was first delivered in Holland almost 50 years ago and taken by its owner to his finca in Spain. The original "Onderhoudsboekje" (maintenance booklet) is also present. After its return to Holland, the Méhari underwent a complete rebuild and waited in the underground garage of a large collection for the next stage of its life, which it will now start in Switzerland. This Méhari is a chance find of the Goodtimer boss, who acquired this pearl without hesitation.

No objective judgement can be made, as we assume that lovers of such cars will be endlessly delighted and that others will find no pleasure in this fresh air feeling.
Recommendation:
This Méhari can be driven anywhere, is easy to care for and incurs hardly any noticeable maintenance costs. And it certainly feels at home not only on the Balearic Islands or the Mediterranean coast, it also fits uniquely well into any cityscape. This newly built example probably costs considerably more than an unrestored one, but the restoration also costs considerably more than the price difference.
