Built in Audi’s special Quattro division, the 3rd generation of the RennSport A6 Avant solidified its title as the world’s most ferocious wagon. Its revised twin Turbocharged power plant would now produce 700 Nm from just 1750 rpm via direct Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI) to propel a lighter body to 100 km/ h in 3. 9 sec. The added performance came with overall lower fuel consumption due to Cylinder On Demand shutting off 4 of its 8 cylinders on cruising conditions. The ZF-designed bulletproof 8-speed automatic transmission would transmit the power to all 4 wheels via the Torsen-based center differential with 30 to 85 percent of it directed to the rear axle to be further distributed by each axle’s Electronic Differential Lock. The air suspension provided comfort with minimum pitch and roll due to diagonally opposed shock absorber interconnection that hardened exterior damping upon hard cornering. In 2015 the RS6 was facelifted to a more imposing exterior styling, advanced infotainment graphics and enhanced cabin deadening. The RS6 offered was ordered in late 2015 to feature a series of options that enhanced the driving experience including the RS Sport Dynamic steel suspension with settings ranging from comfort to track, Dynamic Power Steering for crisper handling and massive 420 mm carbon-fibre reinforced ceramic brakes behind 21 inch twin spoke wheels for fading-free performance. Cabin comfort was also addressed with specially ordered RS Sports seats in Valcona leather under a Panoramic roof, reversing camera, keyless entry and BOSE sound system options amongst others. The body was finished in Daytona Grey with Pearl effect with Gloss Black trim package to match its Black with Rock Gray stitching interior. It is now offered in stellar condition throughout with full service history at Audi’s Service Stations only.
